WHAT'S THE BUZZ ABOUT CASPER AREA TRANSIT?


Dispatch


Dispatch is staffed with two full-time dispatchers and two part-time drivers/dispatchers. Dispatch schedules over 150 rides per day and quickly and efficiently work out any route deviations. The new scheduling software TripMaster has the ability to send a text message the evening prior to the scheduled ride day to notify the rider of the trip and again when the bus is on the way to pick up the rider.

Bus Operators


We currently have 15 full-time bus operators including two Lead Drivers, Nina Clark and Shirley Craft, as well as seven part-time bus operators. Most of our bus operators have at least a decade or more experience operating a paratransit service.

Fleet


Our fleet consist of 9 LINK fixed route buses with the capacity to transport 16 to 24 passengers. The door-to-door ASSIST service has 12 buses with the capacity to transport 6 to 18 passengers. All buses are equipped for paratransit needs. All of our buses are maintained by the City of Casper Fleet Department. 

Facility


Casper Area Transit facility has two administrative assistants, who are responsible for sales, subsidy, statistics, FTA reporting and much more. As well as the Transit Supervisor, Bill Biggs, Community Development Director, Liz Becher and MPO Support Technician, Pam Jones. 

Team Transit is very fortunate to be blanketed with all the support of the City of Casper. Together we all are very dedicated and work hard for the great citizens of Casper, Bar Nunn, Evansville, and Mills!

Accessibility


TTY-based TRS users can call 7-1-1. All vehicles are lift equipped and accessible.


Service Animals


Companion animals are welcome in a pet carrier, or on a leash on the condition the animal is under the passenger’s control. Cats must be in a pet carrier.
